Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is a 2D Fighting Game made by developers of Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age and Them's Fightin' Herds. It is the developer debut of Gameplay Group International, who purchased the rights of these two games from Maximum Entertainment, and resurrected this project which had been announced but then cancelled in 2024 under Modus Games. It is published by PM Studios and Skydance Games.
Players can pick various characters from both Avatar: The Last Airbender and its sequel series, The Legend of Korra, in intense one-on-one fights with hand-drawn animation. 12 fighters are included in the initial roster, with 6 more to be added as Downloadable Content later, including one that will be decided by a vote reserved for people who pre-ordered the game. Before each fight, both combatants select one out of three "support characters" who slightly alters one aspect of their playstyle.
The game released on July 23, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch. Xbox Series X|S is scheduled to launch on September 3, 2026.
Developed by: Gameplay Group International, 2026.
Platform: PC, PS$, PS5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S.

I worked on this project for roughly half of its duration, from its start in October 2023 until the team began working with Gameplay Group in September 2025. After that, decisions regarding the production team were made by Gameplay Group executives.
I also helped with the administrative and logistical aspects of the transition of the Maximum Entertainment team and project to Gameplay Group.
